Summary/Abstract: Kohelet's book, contrary to the biblical tradition, is not based on divine authority. It tells about a human being who observes the surounding lives of others and sees that both the honest person and the sinner come to the same end. A person's efforts do not give him any benefit. Good deeds do not give any guarantees, income or any other kind of reward. The eternal movement of the Universe and the pathetic situation of the human being are reasons for sadness. The conclusion can be made that everything is absurd. The author does not know how to relate with God. The distance between humans and God is the reason for the lack of knowledge and the feeling of being lost in the world. The desire for happiness is given by the Creator; therefore, it is right. The book assures that joy is God's order for humans. Death is the end of everything and it is impossible to avoid it. Thus, enjoying life must be as intense as possible. The experience of the absurd persuades Kohelet to state that enjoying life is the most important thing to do. In such a way, everything that is given by God will be accepted and His will shall be fulfilled.
