Înștiințarea lui Lazăr

Summary/Abstract: In this paper I briefly present the document called “Înştiinţare de toată cinstea vrednică tinerime” [Announcement to all worthy and honest young people], signed by Gheorghe Lazăr, that constitutes the act of founding the Romanian higher education, in particular the higher philosophical education, in Romanian. Is being watched the circulation of the document from its printing, at the opening of the courses at Sf. Sava School in Bucharest, in August 1818, until entering the public circuit and broadcasting in various publications. I summarize the document, specifying the historical context of its elaboration and bringing to mind some suggestions of comparative interpretation regarding the content.
