Summary/Abstract: The Museum of the People’s Republic of Poland is one of the cultural institutions in Cracow, which organizes various activities such as: temporary exhibitions, debates and history lessons. Each years the museum is visited by thousands of people, with a record of 15,000 persons in 2016. The greatest challenge which the museum faces at the moment is to complete the permanent exhibition and to adapt the former Światowid cinema, the headquarters of the museum, to the necessities of a modern cultural institution.
