В ТЪРСЕНЕ НА РЕГИОНАЛНОТО НИВО НА УПРАВЛЕНИЕ
REGIONAL LEVEL OF GOVERNANCE

Summary/Abstract: In the last two decades the place and the role of the regional level of governance in the municipalities and in the central government is a permanent subject of debate among the scientists and the politicians. Recently many solutions for territorial and administrative reforms emerged. Despite the increasing practical interest there is no clear theoretical definition – concepts like “region”, “regional governance”, “regional institutions” are used for naming quite different phenomena. The goal of the paper is to set clear definition for integral concept regarding regional level of governance, regional institutions and main factors for its development.
