Summary/Abstract: The article examines the problem of young peasant women before-marriage relations that took a definite place in her everyday life. On the one hand it is compared with the tradi-tional treatment of this problem in Russian historiography, on the other hand — with the pic-ture of young peasant man before-marriage relations. It is demonstrated according to sources that the traditional treatment of before-marriage relations needs the definite correction.
