Summary/Abstract: Purpose – a comparative analysis focuses on the level and direction of changes to the financial security of going concern in small and medium enterprises. The objects (sections of the Polish Classification of Activities) of analysed mesostructures, their classification and profiling were conducted. Design/Methodology/Approach – a multidimensional logit model was used to for predicting the financial security of corporate activities, ranking and analysis of profiles on the basis of selected features of re-searched mesostructures. Findings – confirmation of the features and profiles of researched mesostructures were proven in terms of the degree of financial security, rank positions and their variability. Originality/Value – the use of innovative methods in creating a financial security measure, estimated on a large training set. Extremely rare research conducted into the total community of small and medium–sized enterprises. The conducted analyses have the characteristics of a dynamic comparative analysis.
