Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of the article is to present the principles of assessment of the economic condition and financial liquidity of enterprises on the capital market in the light of the Bankruptcy Law. Design/Methodology/approach – The article is a theoretical approach in which an attempt was made to present the principles of determining the optimal level of financial liquidity of enterprises on the capital market in the context of investors' expectations and limitations resulting from the Bankruptcy Law. Findings – As a result of the analysis it was stated that it is possible to determine the optimal financial li-quidity so that the company could maximize value for owners and at the same time meet the requirements imposed by the legislator. Originality/value – The proposal of integration of capital and legal approaches in determining the optimal level of financial liquidity related to the economic condition in enterprises can be considered as an original value in the presented paper
