Summary/Abstract: In the article the author hypothesises that the posthumanist thought is not only compatiblewith critical pedagogical reflection, but can also be interpreted as its essential implication. Animportant reference point for these considerations is Robert Kwaśnica’s concept of the “seconddegree pedagogy”, which challenges the a priori premises of the paradigmatic pedagogy. Thecrucial idea which is called into question is the concept of humanity. The author argues thatthe contestation of the anthropological frame of upbringing makes the pedagogical thoughthead towards a posthumanist reflection, which is presented as a critical addendum to contemporarygeneral pedagogy. At the end of these considerations the author points out thelimitations and also the possible dangers deriving from a fully posthumanist perspective onupbringing.
