Examined are the materials of cultures of the 1st half of 1st millennium AD (Kiev, Chernyakhovskaya cultures) and subsequent Penkivska, Kolochynska cultures. Benchmarking led us to conclusion about the impact of the Prague culture antiquities on the house-building of the left bank`s sites of the 7th century AD. There are two house-building traditions in the cultures of the period up to Old Rus (Raykovetska, Volyntsivska, Romenska cultures).
