Summary/Abstract: Rich mounted Nomadic grave was brought to the surface and destroyed during dam construction at Korobchino (Dnepropetrovsk, Krinicki District, Ukraine) in 1989. Those finds which became known for the scientific world seem to be very important for the history of the ancient Hungarians. The silver mouth mount of a sabre scabbard from Korobchino is the only published Steppe find of this kind up to now which has punctual parallels in the Hungarian cemeteries of the Carpathian Basin from the Conquest Period. Unique find is the complete golden burial mask in company of golden face-covers and eye covers (most probably sewn on silk) from an ancient Hungarian grave. It seems probably that one of the leaders of that ancient Hungarian people was buried in the unmarked grave in the Dnieper-district, which became leading military power on the East-European steppes for the IX. Century A. D.
