Summary/Abstract: The collapse of the Second Türk Empire is due to a classical dynastical inner strife. Foreign forces intervened to it only at the end. The title Tä nri (Teng-li) qa γan used by both sons of the late Bilgä qaan shows a clear tendency to the introduction of sacral kingship anongst the Turks. This tendency, however, was interrupted by the intrigues of the mother of the young qaans and the inner strifes in the dynasty that also lead to the collapse of the Empire. The correct date of this event was 745.
