Summary/Abstract: In February 2000, as a local coordinator of the international organization SweBiH, I worked on the project for opening a School for Social Work at the University of Banja Luka, Republika Srpska. SweBiH organized in the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1997-2003, supporting the reforms in the field of mental health and the development of social work (Laberkvist and Mehić - Basara, 2003, p. 9), and within its mission, as a particularly important element, emphasized "the reconciliation between different groups in BiH "(Jacobsson, 2003, p. 13).
