Summary/Abstract: In this paper we will try to analyze the evolution of the economic indicators of the food industry, from 2000 to 2014. This evolution will be done in comparison with otherbranches of the national economic activity. This will allow us to highlight the contribution ofthe food industry to economic growth and, especially, to see the results obtained by thevarious programs launched by the authorities, in order to increase production and to fill thefood inadequacy.
