Summary/Abstract: The Romance section was one of the three original divisions at the journal’s foundation in 1911. For the following 100 years Romance studies have been an integral part of the journal supplying it with some three hundred articles and another several hundred book reviews and reports. Their authors represent a panoply of the Romance studies scholars in the country and their topics define the main interests of the studies in this period.
