Summary/Abstract: This paper investigates the early effects of Mongolia’s accession to the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA). The Gravity model is employed in this study to analyze the effects of key factors that affect trade costs for land-locked Mongolia. In addition, the Spearman’s rank correlation of revealed advantage (SRC) and Trade intensity index (TII) are used to identify the Mongolian export products suitable for the APTA market. The paper concludes that Mongolia would be able to increase its trade flow for the APTA market after its accession to the regional trade agreement.
