Summary/Abstract: Sports historians know the name of this illustrious character. Instead for the sport lovers his name is virtually unknown. This article will present this versatile sportsman. Even though at the time there were quite a few athletes ”all-round”, Manno is among the few who did consecrated as an artist. Of Hungarian athletes we can compare Manno only with Alfréd Hajós.
