Children’s Competency to Speak in the Context of their Readiness for School

Summary/Abstract: The current research aims to establish the extent of development of the semantic competency of the children 6 – 7 years of age. The shared experience could be useful for other colleagues from pre-elementary groups. There search has a methodology for the establishment of the competency level in the separate aspects assessed in the entrance and exit levels, as well as in the mathematical processing model. Tests are illustrative. Tools are considered in regard to both the individual and the group competency of the children. The analysis of the results helps for the establishment of the speech competency level of the children from pre-elementary class, as well as planning the work under separate directions. The proposed model could be used by the tutor as to break the templates during the speech mastering by the children in the context of their preparation for school.
