Summary/Abstract: The study summarizes the relationship between Syria and Czechoslovakia. It investigates the most important events in the Middle East country at the time of the Cold War including general diplomacy contacts as well as some specific arms trafficking between these countries. Besides the analysis of the Czechoslovak-Syrian relationship in the context of the Cold War, we explore and show the media appearance of these relations as well, and we show how colourfully some of the main events appeared in the Czech, Slovak and Hungarian language press.
