Summary/Abstract: In April 1996 Anna Endrôdi carried out a rescue excavation on the border of Budapest, in the Dunakeszi district, in the Székes-dûlô corridor. The site is located about 500 m east of the Danube, on the M0 motorway, in the south-eastern bend of the creek Óceán-árok, a former Danube arm, which limits our site with its marshy environment from the east and south. This is the southern end of a long hill, which forms part of the Neo-Plateau terrace series II / a of the Danube. Here an area of 4000 m was excavated in the track line of the motorway. During the four-week work, the excavator found 125 settlement objects, mostly mines and post holes or pits. The excavation was preceded by the removal of the humus, which led to great damage in the findings. Only the lowest part of the individual objects was preserved and an indeterminable amount of the found material was lost. At our site, the legacies of two epochs came to light: the Transdanubian Linienbandkeramik and the Late Bronze Age. In this article I want to cover the Neolithic finds and findings.
