Summary/Abstract: The article’s topic is the analysis of debate in the Polish press in Congress Poland concerning coalitions of Polish political parties before the elections for the 2nd State Duma in 1906 and 1907. The Author discusses the debate that led to situation in which National Democracy could not and did not want to monopolize Polish representation in Duma and therefore it created an alliance with Real Politics Party and Polish Progress Party. The Authors proves that debate mainly focused on the problem of coalition’s composition and the rules of parties’ cooperation. The issue of coalition’s programme was less important and it was limited to the general demand for Kindom of Poland.
