Summary/Abstract: The year 1989 in the Kashubian literature did not bring any radical thematic or stylistic changes. Kashubian belles-lettres developed at its own pace, only partially reflecting the nationwide phenomena. The Kashubian region existed in its linguistic diversity for a small group of recipients, lacking strong external support and without any spectacular publications and artistic achievements. The images of the forms of existence of the Polish People’s Republic in the literature written in the Kashubian language after 1989 are very rare. In this respect, only three writers who decided to give a more detailed description of this time can be named: Stanisław Pestka (1929-2015), Stanisław Janke (born in 1956) and Artur Jabłoński (born in 1970).
