Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to bring to mind the model of the communication of R. Jackobson and to examine if the basic linguistic units fit to this model. We consider that the basic linguistic units are the words, the sentences and the texts. After F. de Saussure we accept that the signs have two aspects: significant (name) and signifié (meaning). It is proved that the two aspects of the sign exists in the three types of linguistic units. It is proved also that the signifié contains not only a semantic information, but also it contains a structural information.
