Social Pedagogy – A Field in Evolution in Romania

Summary/Abstract: This article is a general overview on the social work, its training and professionalizing in the European context and in Romania, as well as on the professionalizing process of the staff working in the social assistance services. Stress will be laid upon the situation of the staff from children welfare institutions, the core being the analysis of the programs provided by Fundaţia Pestalozzi, as possible way of action in a dynamic context characterized by a doubled pressure: the need for professionalizing and the profession practicing.
