Summary/Abstract: The paper comprises the study of adaptive capacity of cardiovascular system of school-age children (7-17 year children) living in adverse environmental conditions of the large industrial region. Unsatisfactory adaptive capacity of blood circulation system is shown in all children understudy. The lowest adaptive capacity of the organism was recorded in 7-10 and 15-17 year old boys and in 11-17 year old girls. The findings of the study should be taken into accounting organization of preventive and rehabilitation activities for school-age children. Opportunity of using the value of adaptive potential calculated following our method as a biological indicator of the environmental condition is demonstrated as well.
