Social Science Workshops in the Szeklerland

Summary/Abstract: The author inventories the intellectual workshops functioning in the historical Szeklerland,which focuses mainly on the presentation, scientific researching and conservation of the local culture. The paper assesses that since 1919 the Romanian Hungarian minority is the victim of a deliberate and continuous cultural annihilation and points out that the cultural events and the related scientific researches in the Szeklerland play a decisive role in the cultural self-preservation of the Hungarian communities.
