Summary/Abstract: We can separate several local groups at stages Cucuteni B1 and Cucuteni B2 west of the Prut River. The neighboring groups in the eastern portions of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, often crossed the borders. At the early stages of the Cucuteni B1a (Tripolye BII) in the basin of the river Bahlujul and on the right bank of the Prut river, there were sites of the Mereshovka group, phase II. The group Bahlujul started developing in the middle of the stage Cucuteni B1a (early Tripolye C1) in the basin of the Bahlujul river. The group Bistritsa developed between the rivers of Moldova and Bistritsa and in the basin of the Trotuşul river during this time period. Two groups formed in the stage of Cucuteni B1 b (in the middle of Tripolye C1) in the territory of the Romanian Moldova. At the source of the river Jijia there was a site of Petrenskaja group Truşeşti. At the stage of Cucuteni B2a, the territory belonging to the Bahlujul group was occupied by sites of the Badraz group. These sites were present at the same time in the late phase of the group Bistritsa and Trotuşul formed in the basin of the Trotuşul river. The Trotuşul group, the Bistritsa group, and the Badraz sites in the basin of the river Bahlujul and the right bank of the Prut river existed at the stage of the Cucuteni B2b.
