Generalized Holt’s model exemplified by the forecast on the number of air travellers in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The work presents, proposed by the author, changes in the Holt’s method. First, it is assumed that the parameter values in the Holt’s model do not need to be limited, as it is commonly assumed, to the range of [0,1]. Secondly, it is proposed a more accurate way of forecasting the number of moments for the more distant time. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the modified approach. Calculations were carried out on the example of data on the number of air travellers in Poland.
