II. ”Walter Hoffmann” Upright Piano

Summary/Abstract: The second upright piano in order who was submitted to complex procedures of restauration is W. Hoffmann with serial number 5916 produced in 1923. This artifact raised some different issues than the first one. It was intensly used, often moved, sometimes ”fixed” with all kinds of glue, and inside of the mechanism the textile elements were old and embrittled and with a lot of moisture . The restauration takes 4 months and two specialists. The big surprise camed at the end when the third upright piano waited for me in the same location that the last one.
