3-E Conception in Health Care System

Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The main objective of this essay is to describe the direction of changes in the Polish healthcare system, which might be best assessed by a triad: economy – efficiency – effectiveness, i.e. the concept of 3-E. The research for the most effective solutions enforces further restructuring and reorganization of the public health sector. A key challenge of health care sector is the balance between its public activity and opening up to competition, and ability to control its public activities in a way that responsibility for them is ensured. Design/methodology/approach – This article is based on the analysis of literature. Findings –The result of this study is to describe the changes in health care system, including management in the public sector area. Originality/value – Undertaken topic describes the changes in the Polish health care system, which is financed from public funds.
