Summary/Abstract: A beige colored cylinder seal (OY10 Inv. 065) ( limestone?) was uncovered in ÖBY 102#1in Trench L22 at Oylum Höyük in 2010 excavation season (Fig. 1). Its lenght is 1.9 cm and its diameter is 1 cm. The diameter of the perforation is 0.3 cm. This seal belongs to Syro-Anatolian linear-cursiv group. This group of seals are considered to be related to the early Syrian seals. These seals are likely to be produced in a certain region or a workshop. This type of seals are widely distributed from Anatolia in the North to Palestine in the South and to Cyprus in the West. The main subjects depicted on those cylinder seals are figures with a raised arm and certain physical and clothing features alternated with symbols, various animals, plants, altars, winged creatures and serpents. The scenes are framed at the top and the bottom. The corn depictions on the Oylum Höyük cylinder seal and the others should be related with West Semitic corn god, Dagan. Oylum Höyük cylinder seal may be dated into the second half of the 19. 18. Century BC.
