Interview With Composer Irena Popović

Summary/Abstract: Serbian composer Irena Popović is mostly known in Transylvanian professional circles for her works at the Timișoara Hungarian theatre. In an interview realised by Róbert Lénárd,​ she speaks about music as an enhancing mechanism of action, about the current rebirth of musical theatre and its power to voice and form opinions. Director-personalities Kokan Mladenović and András Urbán are also mentioned, as well as the actors’ relationship with music, and the composer’s freedom, talent and fanaticism.
