Summary/Abstract: New consumption trends contributed to chocolate products being the largest and the fastest growing sector in Poland. Therefore, manufacturers enrich range of their products with the new and improved goods and aim them at different target groups. An empirical study has been carried out in order to identify the scope of innovations implemented in companies not being the leaders of chocolate products on the Polish market. The paper presents author’s results of a pilot study concerning product’s novelty level, priority of concept innovations source, circumstances of implementation of a new product as well as determination of product’s changes scope.
