Summary/Abstract: In the face of decrease in interest in traditional, Eastern martial arts among young people, the paper attempts to identify the factors that influence this situation. Many instructors have made a serious source of income from their hobby. Positioning of their schools on a perception map can provide valuable marketing information. The measurement of opinion on martial arts and the multivariate statistical analysis methods have been used in the research. The data have been collected according the snowball sampling principle. As a result, three segments of combat sports have been obtained, which have allowed to give several recommendations for instructors of traditional martial arts.
