Summary/Abstract: The starting point of my work is represented by three of Lucian Blaga’s plays: Daria, Ivanca and Tulburarea apelor. They treat three important cores in the author’s dramaturgy: the duality, Empedocles’ theory, and the symbolism of the human body. These cores are seen through the perspective of the secondary characters that either help the axial character or block him. In fact, these texts show the importance of the exterior in shaping the interior.
