On Agricultural Activity of the Slavs in the Dniester-Prut Interfluvial Area (750-1000 A.D.)

Summary/Abstract: The author studies economy of the early medieval Slavic community in Moldova, particularly, determines the character and the level of agricultural development in the Dniester-Prut interfluvial area in the last quarter of the first millennium A.D. The author analyses the entire complex of archaeological finds associated with agriculture – land-processing tools, the tools for processing of agricultural products, archaeological objects connected with production, storage and processing of agricultural products. He also studies the range of crops cultivated by the Slavs in Moldova during the mentioned period.
