Theoretical Approaches Grasping the Bureaucracy with Its Social and Political Extent-Context

Summary/Abstract: In the boundaries of the public administration literature, the studies focusing to the bureaucracy mostly concentrate on two main issues, namely efficiency and control. The literature, for the most part, has not preferred to deal with the social and political extent of it. However, there are also different theoretical approaches prompting to enrich the studies by comprehending the bureaucracy with its social and political facets. In this study, we assert to group and disscuss these facets as liberal, Weberian, and Marxist conception of bureaucracy.
