Summary/Abstract: The objective of the paper is to outline the concept of value for the consumer that appears from praxeological assumption of neo-Austrian economic school. The praxeological school stresses the intentions of individual economic decision-makers, in which consumer uses limited resources like money and time for achieving the goals based of the subjective value scaling (preferences). The praxeological assumptions of rationality are the closest to the customer value concept used in relationship marketing. The paper presents the theoretical assumptions of means-end, coming from the scientific tradition neo-Austrian economic school in the relation to the traditional research approach of laddering technique. There are also characterized the assumptions of the research approaches strongly linked to value concept in neo-Austrian economic school: comparative-counterfactual analysis (and mental experiments) and modified means-end chain approach.
