Water balance in plants of family Saxifragaceae under conditions of Steppe Dnieper region

Summary/Abstract: Physiological aspects of drought-resistance and water cycle in the ornamental bush (cultivated jasmine, deutzia and hydrangea) introduced in the Dnipropetrovsk Botanical Garden were studied. Dynamics regularities of the water regime subject to the ambient conditions and bioecological features of the plants were defined. The species resistance to the insufficient water availability in accordance with the marked out criteria was appraised.
