Summary/Abstract: The article presents the concept of enterprise risk management. The first part of the paper focus on risk management essence, its types and benefits of adaptation this kind of strategy in business activity. The last part brings up the empirical approach to enterprise risk management in SME sector and points at outlooks of its growth on polish market in the next few years.
