Summary/Abstract: The article presents rather unknown at present conception of socialism by Jan acław Machajski (1866–1926) social theorist, trade union activist and anarchist The main issues present in Machajski’s works are: criticism of socialistic ideology of the turn of the century as the way to use the proletariat (working class) to take over the power by intelligentsia; criticism of Marx’s economics as the attempt to build the society in which working class still will be used by state and the role of upper class (bourgeoisie) will be given to intelligentsia; program of working class struggle without political purposes – only in economics aspect; these ideas contain anarchism threads.
