Summary/Abstract: The state of the source studying base on the late Mesolithic of the Carpathian-Dniester region allows to reveal the basic tendencies in its development. The initial stage of the late Mesolithic is connected with the appearance of two separate cultural phenomena, having no real cause in the monuments of the preceding times. The Kukreksky technocomplex, expressed in the inventory set of Old Bedrajii (Middle Prut area), alongside with the monuments of the middle current of the South Bug, takes part in the formation of a peculiar Reut variant (Frumushica I, Gura-Camencii VI, Varvarovca IX). At the same stage the Grebenecov community, formed in Low Dniester area, starts its expansion into the Dniester-Danube seaside area (Mirnoe), in Low Prut area (Sarateni, Bereshti, Dealul Taberei). At the second stage the bearers of the traditions of the Grebenicov culture penetrate into the basin of the river Reut (Sacarovca IV, Old Bilicheni XII, Lazo V) and participate in the formation of “Tardenoisian” monuments in the Middle Prut area.
