Summary/Abstract: The book Carl Stumpf – From philosophical Reflection to Interdisciplinary Scientific Investigation, edited by Silvia Bonacchi and Geert-Jan Boudewijnse is a collection of critical contributions on different aspects of Stumpf’s philosophy and is intended to demonstrate the pivotal role that Stumpf has played in the definition of psychology in terms of a new science. Most of the chapters in the volume are by scholars who have already focused their studies on the philosophical - psychological debate in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century’s.
