Summary/Abstract: The object of this article is the contents of the notes of Elias Maior, a rector of St. Elizabeth’s gymnasium in Wrocław, made in the consecutive 1640–1669 Schreibkalenders. They constitute a rich source documenting everyday life of Wrocław’s humanistic elite. Of particular interest, among the rector’s accounts, are numerous references to music performed, both in public and in private domain.
