Summary/Abstract: In the article the questions of holiness in the Ukrainian culture are considered. An author considers holiness as attribute of spiritual leadership, formed by Christian tradition. The idea of sanctification of man is considered, creation of appearance of sainted, which sense of conscience, ideal of spiritual love and mercy, becomes establish firmly through. An author underlines that moral ideal of spiritual leader which a Christian national idea was formed thanks to became establish firmly through appearance of saint.
