Summary/Abstract: The fascism is very popular theme among political scientists. There are lots of books about Italian fascism or German Nazism but the research of Spanish falangism is mostly underestimated. We can find deep descriptions of interwar period and of political movements but mostly there is a lack of deeper analysis of ideology or programme of Falange. This study focuses on the analysis of political programme of Falange Española dealing mainly with these points: the political rule, the economic and social programme, definition of the nation and nationalism, relation between the state and nation, the militarization of society, the basic values, culture and arts. My research has confirmed the hypothesis that Spanish falangism is part of the fascist spiritual family. Although Falangism did not become the mass political movement, its electoral results were insignificant during the Second repuhlic, the Civil war brought to Falange high popularity and rapid increase of members. During the Franco regime Falange became the only legal party but did not gain political power and could not realize its programme. The power was concentrated in the hands of the general Franco and Falange became only one (and controlled) part of it his power base together with the army and Opus Deí.
