Portfolio Management as a Tool for the All Ocation of Financial and Production Management Company in Mining

Summary/Abstract: Purpose – Presentation of the application possibilities of the Project Portfolio Management as a methodology for organization’s capital management including its usefulness in the production process management. Design/methodology/approach – Analysis of the subject literature and world research as well as business case of a mining company. Findings – In the article the role of the Project Portfolio Management in the arrangement of the organization’s management processes has been explained. Based on the given business case a way of the Project Management process establishment along with the effects of its implementation in the organization has been described. Originality/value – The research article has the applicative aspects. Its distinctness and value result from the unique approach to the Project Portfolio Management which was developed by the company’s intellectual capital and is being exploited in the mining organization currently.
