Summary/Abstract: Immanuel Kant showed the limits of pure reason. Noumena (things in themselves), God and soul, are found outside these limits. The van has the only choice: to believe in something he can’t learn. The article presents an attempt to show that the hermeneutical understanding of music allows apprehending directly the immanent, transcendent reality, which reason itself can’t grasp.
