Summary/Abstract: Kriszta Bódis directed many documentaries, but her aim was not to entertain the audience, but to focus the attention on human fates and social problems. In her films analyzed in this article (Slave Trade and Village Romance) during filming the director becomes active character in the stories other protagonists. "In those cases is important the symbiosis with the protagonists. Because of that the fi lm can reach it’s complexity, and the audience can feel that they are part of the story as well. Each filming was a miracle. Parts of my life.”
