Summary/Abstract: In the article are characterized the specific features of calendar rites of gutfuls within the limits of modern civilization. It is examined a influence on the calendar rites of such modern processes as globalization, urbanization. Attention applies on those factors which provide vitality of folk rites in modern terms, namely: historical and cultural aspects, dominations of tradition and ritual, regime of life and economy, mythological beliefs and the world outlook.
