Summary/Abstract: The peculiarities of the growth and development of maize seedlings under the influence of abscisic acid (ABA) in the range of concentrations 0.1–1.0, 10–100, 400 and 1000 mg/l were studied. It was shown that inhibitory effect even under ultrahigh concentrations of ABA disappeared after the breaking its influence off. The given approach can be applied to biotechnological programs on long-term preservation of breeding material of maize.
